Khao Laem Sing Forest Park is located in Moo 1, Bang Kachai Subdistrict, Laem Sing District, Chanthaburi Province, covering a combined land and sea area of approximately 9,500 rai. The forest in the park is mainly dry evergreen and coastal forest, featuring significant plant species such as Aquilaria, Hopea, Terminalia, Ficus, and Pandanus. Important wildlife includes long-tailed macaques, small mouse deer, red-orange flying squirrels, junglefowl, and various bird species. Marine flora and fauna can be found along the beaches and surrounding islands.

Khao Laem Sing is a small mountain, rising about 172 meters above sea level. Its name derives from the rock formations at the front of the mountain, which extend into the sea and resemble a crouching lion, with visible head, body, tail, paws, and eyes. Atop the mountain stands Pharee Phinart Fort, constructed during the reign of King Rama III. Originally, the area had no specific name. Later, when King Mongkut (Rama IV) visited Chanthaburi before ascending the throne, he named it Khao Laem Sing. Near the fort is a stupa built in 1904 to commemorate the withdrawal of French troops from Chanthaburi.

From the park office atop the mountain, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the sea and are treated to stunning sunsets. A pathway leads down to Ao Krating Beach, a small, quiet, and picturesque beach with soft yellow sand. Visitors can take a 20-minute boat ride from Laem Sing Beach or travel by road via the Tha Mai–Bang Kachai route for about 25 kilometers to reach the park office, then walk approximately 400 meters down to the beach. There are no official accommodations within the park, but camping with tents is allowed.

In front of Ao Krating is Ko Nom Sao, an island covering around 150 rai, densely forested with natural vegetation. The southern part of the island features steep cliffs, while the northern side has a beach and a 500-meter-long coral reef, making it ideal for snorkeling. Access to Ko Nom Sao is via a boat from Laem Sing Pier, taking approximately 45 minutes. The round-trip fare is 400 baht per group of 8–10 people. The island has no accommodations or restaurants, so visitors must bring their own supplies.

Ao Yang is another small, shaded beach near Ao Krating, offering private accommodations and dining services. It is accessible by a 30-minute boat ride from Laem Sing Beach or by car via the Tha Mai–Bang Kachai route for about 22 kilometers, followed by a 1-kilometer walk to the resort and restaurant. The only service provider is Ao Yang Resort, contactable at 0 3945 6032 or 0 3945 6778.

Ko Chula is a small island with beautiful coral reefs. Travel time from Laem Sing Beach is approximately 30 minutes by boat. There are no accommodations or restaurants on the island, and visitors must bring their own necessities.

There are two main routes to reach Khao Laem Sing Forest Park. One option is a ferry from Laem Sing District to Ao Krating Beach for 10 baht per person, followed by a 400-meter walk to the park. The more convenient route is by car from Tha Mai to Bang Kachai, covering approximately 25 kilometers, passing Khao Laem Sing Temple, and ascending the mountain to the park office.

Khao Laem Sing Forest Park is not only a natural and serene destination but also a site of historical and cultural significance. Visitors can explore the Pharee Phinart Fort, the commemorative stupa, and enjoy breathtaking coastal landscapes. Activities such as hiking, nature observation, snorkeling, and historical exploration are all available, though visitors should prepare food, water, and camping gear if planning to stay overnight on the island or in the park.

The park is ideal for photography enthusiasts and those wishing to enjoy peaceful sunsets. Well-maintained trails connect key points, offering full access to the coastal and forest ecosystems. Khao Laem Sing Forest Park is a comprehensive destination for nature lovers, history buffs, and those seeking maritime activities, providing a complete experience of Chanthaburi’s natural and cultural heritage.
