Wat Talan En is located in Village No. 1, Talan En Subdistrict, Bang Pahan District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. It is a local Buddhist temple under the Maha Nikaya sect, well known for its distinctive natural environment and rich ecosystem. The temple grounds serve as a natural habitat for large colonies of flying foxes and various species of water birds, surrounded by a peaceful and shaded atmosphere. It is an ideal destination for visitors seeking both religious merit-making and nature-based tourism.

The temple is situated alongside an irrigation canal, which plays an important role as a water source for the surrounding community. The canal is home to a wide variety of freshwater fish, creating a connected ecosystem of water, forest, and local settlement. Monks and villagers actively participate in preserving and caring for the natural environment, helping maintain its ecological balance.

Wat Talan En also functions as a place for meditation practice and regular Buddhist activities. The current abbot is Phra Khru Wisutthi Phawana Prasit Wi., who oversees both religious affairs and temple administration. There is no admission fee, but visitors are kindly requested not to disturb the wildlife or damage the natural surroundings within the temple grounds.

Natural Ecosystem The flying foxes that inhabit the tall trees within the temple grounds typically emerge in the late afternoon and early evening to forage for food. This natural spectacle offers visitors a rare opportunity to observe flying foxes in their natural habitat. In addition, several species of water birds can be found throughout the year, including cormorants, ducks, and egrets. During the winter season, migratory birds arrive in greater numbers, making the area an important spot for wildlife observation in a truly natural setting.
