Pha Chu (Pha Chet Chu) At the foot of Pha Chu is the location of the Si Nan National Park office. In winter, the sea of clouds can be seen from the top of the cliff. And when the fog fades, you will see the Nan River winding at the end of the forest.
If going up to see, must go up early in the morning before the sun rises for a distance of about 2 kilometers. The nearer to the top is a sharp stone. Therefore, be prepared to wear sneakers that fit well for ease of climbing. It takes about 1 hour to walk. Those who wish to walk up to the top of Pha Chu must contact the navigation staff at Si Nan National Park, P.O. Box 14, Na Noi District, Nan Province 55150.
According to legends told about Pha Chu said. Chao Aung Phueng, who is a lover with Chao Chan Pha. reluctant to marry Chao Zhuang Chao Uang Phueng regrets not marrying the person she loves and decides to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff. Chao Chanpha followed to find that Chao Aung Phung had already jumped off the cliff.
So he jumped off a cliff and killed himself as his lover fell close to each other. And Zhao Zhuang saw the woman he loved jumping off the cliff, so he regretted it and decided to jump off the cliff with him, but fell farther away. With true love between Chao Aung Phueng and Chao Chan Pha.
In the next life, Chao Aung Bee was born as an orchid perched under the sandalwood tree. And Zhuang was born a pine tree at the point where it fell ("Zhuang" is a Northern dialect meaning pine, "Aung Phueng" means orchid). This cliff has been called "Pha Chu" ever since.
