Luang Por Ong Tue It is enshrined at Wat Si Chomphu Ong Tue, Ban Nam Mong, Luang Por Phra Chao Ong Tue. It is a large Buddha image cast in gold. The craftsmanship of northern and Lan Xang artisans It is a Buddha image that looks very beautiful. Sitting cross-legged in the attitude of subduing Mara, the lap width is 3.29 meters and the height is 4 meters. It is a sacred Buddha image that people on both sides of the Mekong River highly respect.

 

From the stone inscription evidence shows that King Tua was created in the year 2105 B.E., the builder was Phra Chai Chettha, the king of Nakhon Wiang. Cast in a mixture of gold, brass and silver. Total weight is 1 Tue (Tue is an ancient section of Isan) It took 7 years and 7 months to build. The province has held an event to worship Luang Pho Phra Chao Ong Tue every year on the 15th day of the 4th lunar month.
