Wat Pa Si Thawon Nimit Situated at Ban Bung Khe, Nong Saeng sub-district, Pak Phli district, Nakhon Nayok province, Wat Pa Si Thawon Nimit is under patronage of Thawara Chittathawaro Wongmalai and is regarded as the number one meditation center of Nakhon Nayok province. Shady, tranquil and surrounded by the hills of Khao Yai National Park, it is ideal for meditation.

 

There are also a hundred of meditation cells provided for monks, novices, laymen, laywomen and other people. In addition, in the area of 560,000 m2, there is Mueang Sahakon (Cooperative City), a royal project under her royal highness princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn initiated by the King’s Remark.

 

Her Royal Highness princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited here on February 23, 1994 and commissioned the construction of Khlong Si Siad reservoir. The visitors can also visit the gardening project which features organic vegetable and rice grown by natural farming.

 

In the temple there are also Chedi Luang, Kuti Chai Di, Chaloem Prakiat chanting Pavilion, Mon Dop Thawon Tham, Khlong Si Siad reservoir, Kra Tai Chom Chan shrine, graveyard, drinking water station, Thawon Nimit school, Community Radio which broadcasts Lord Buddha’s teachings from senior monks and Luang Pho Thawon Chittawaro from 05.00 a.m. - 10.00 p.m. and meditation area which is divided into 3 sections: monastery (21 cells), layman area (30 cells, 1 pavilion) and laywomen area (55 cells, 3 pavilions).
