Wat Na Hu Kwang Attractions Prachuap Located in Moo 3, Na Hu Kwang Subdistrict, Wat Na Hu Kwang received the consecrated boundary (Wisungkhamsima) on January 1, 2000. The sacred area spans 30 meters in width and 60 meters in length, covering a total area of 7 rai, 2 ngan, and 32 square wah (approx. 3 acres). The temple’s boundaries are marked by a stream to the north, a road to the south and east, and adjacent land to the west.

 

The main ordination hall (ubosot), built in 1995, is a reinforced concrete structure with a four-sided roof, measuring 5.5 meters in width and 17.3 meters in length. Inside the ubosot is the principal Buddha image along with a statue of Luang Por Pu Thong, a revered monk who is believed to have helped establish Wat Na Hu Kwang during the early Ayutthaya period. Historical records suggest that Luang Por Pu Thong was likely born around 1734. Known for his kindness and compassion, he dedicated himself to teaching and guiding local Buddhists in the practice of Buddhist virtues, fostering a deep respect for the faith across generations.

 

To reach Wat Na Hu Kwang, take Phetkasem Road (connecting Prachuap Khiri Khan and Chumphon Provinces). At approximately the 363-kilometer marker, make a U-turn in front of Thap Sakae Hospital. Then, turn left onto the Phetkasem-Muang Rae Road and continue for about 4.5 kilometers to reach the temple.
