Phra That Don Kaeo or known as Phra Mahathat Chedi is located at Mu 5, Ban Don Kaeo, enshrined in the middle of Wat Mahathat Chedi. It is a rectangular chedi similar to Phra That Phanom, about 18 meters high.
Each floor has a carved image about the Buddha's history, hell-heaven. The construction of the relic is a square-shaped sandstone, approximately 1 cubit long. The outer perimeter is plastered with cement. It is assumed that Wat Phra That Don Kaeo, Bai Sema and Stone Pillars were built around the 12th-13th century.
To get there: From Mueang District, take Highway No. 2 and Highway No. 2350 to Kumphawapi District. Turn left around the nature park and go straight for 3.4 kilometers (50 kilometers away from Muang District).
