Mueang Boran Bueng Khok Chang, located in Phai Khiao Subdistrict, Uthai Thani Province, is a historically significant archaeological site. The site is encircled by a moat and earthen walls, showcasing the ancient city’s sophisticated defensive system. Archaeologists have discovered numerous artifacts, including pottery, stone mortars, iron tools, and yellow beads, providing insight into the daily life and culture of past inhabitants. Additionally, three ancient Khmer inscriptions were found, offering valuable evidence for studying the history and language of the region.
 
Today, Mueang Boran Bueng Khok Chang is a forested area with large trees creating a peaceful, shaded environment. The moat has become shallow over time, and all discovered artifacts are carefully preserved at the local History and Culture Museum, located within the Non-Formal Education Center opposite the Uthai Thani Tourism Authority Office. Preserving these artifacts allows history enthusiasts to explore the site while safeguarding cultural heritage for future generations.
 
Travelers can reach Mueang Boran Bueng Khok Chang easily. Starting from Uthai Thani Town, take Highway 3221 through Thap Than District, then connect to Highway 3013 through Sawang Arom District. From there, use Highway 3456 toward Lan Sak District. Approximately 14 kilometers from Sawang Arom, visitors will see a stupa on the left side and a sign marking Mueang Boran Bueng Khok Chang, which passes through the heart of the old city. This route provides convenient access and allows visitors to fully experience the historic site’s serene and shaded setting.
 
Mueang Boran Bueng Khok Chang is not only a historical site but also an important cultural learning center. Visitors can study ancient lifestyles, city construction, defensive systems, and various artifacts. These insights deepen understanding of Uthai Thani’s history and Thailand’s cultural heritage.
