Wat Chedi Laem Sor It is a temple where Luang Por Daeng Tisso used to live until his death from a passenger boat accident between Koh Samui - Bandon. It was wrecked in the middle of the sea in 1976, located at the junction between Baan Talay, Na Mueang Subdistrict. and Ban Thong Krut, Taling Ngam Sub-district.

 

Wat Phra Chedi Laem Sor It is a temple that was established before the Sangha Act B.E. 2441, but it is an old temple which has been surveyed and therefore has just been declared a temple registration. On February 17, 2011, there is an ubosot in the shape of a junk boat below as a container for storage. Rainwater is used inside the temple above, placing a replica of Luang Pho Daeng. Luang Pho Daeng was born on Wednesday, the 11th day of the waxing moon, the 3rd lunar month, 1891 at Ban Khao Puk, Koh Samui District, Surat Thani. He is the son of Mr. Kaew Nang On Thongrueang. First ordained at the age of 21 at the successful temple, about 2 years old, the second ordained at the same temple, died on the night of August 6, 1976, totaling 85 years of age.

 

Reverend Father Daeng is a well-practiced monk, treating the people of Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, who are very fond of each other. Besides the kindness he has for everyone, there is also a story about the experience of seeing the miracle that Luang Por Daeng has. The villagers believed that he had achieved a high level of wisdom but he never boasted to anyone

 

How to get there: Wat Phra Chedi Laem Sor is located at the junction between Ban Talay. Na Mueang Subdistrict and Ban Thong Krut Taling Ngam Sub-district, from the Durian Suan Intersection, travel about 3 kilometers, turn right onto Route 4170 for about 2 kilometers, see a sign, turn left and go straight for about 1.5 kilometers to Wat Phra Chedi Laem Sor.
