Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (Don Rak), located on Saeng Chu To Road (Highway 323) before reaching the provincial town.
 
The immaculately maintained cemetery contains the remains of 6,982 Allied POWs who perished during the construction of the ‘Death Railway’.
 
Its tranquility reminds the visitors of the war and its after-effects. It is open daily from 8.30 a.m.-6 p.m. For more information, call Tel. 0 3451 1500.
