Huai Bong Reservoir is located in Ban Bang Lat, covering villages 3, 4, 5, and 7 in Nong Hua Wua Subdistrict, Pran Kratai District, Kamphaeng Phet Province. It is one of the key water sources that support local livelihoods and enhance the quality of life in the area. The reservoir was constructed in 1984 and is an earthen dam, approximately 100 meters long and 12 meters high, capable of storing up to 3 million cubic meters of water. It receives rainfall runoff from a forested catchment area of about 6 square kilometers, ensuring sufficient water supply for domestic use throughout the year.

The highlight of Huai Bong Reservoir is its scenic surroundings, with lush mountains and greenery encircling the water. This makes the reservoir not only an important water source but also a natural tourist destination where locals and visitors can relax and enjoy the serene environment. As a result, Huai Bong Reservoir has become a place valued both for its environmental importance and its tourism potential.

Today, the reservoir continues to play a vital role in supplying water to the local communities, improving convenience and quality of life. Visitors can enjoy various leisure activities such as sightseeing, photography, or boating on the calm waters. The peaceful landscape and fresh air provide an authentic experience of nature.

Huai Bong Reservoir is thus not only a critical water resource for the community but also a standout natural attraction in Pran Kratai District. Its tranquility, greenery, and surrounding natural beauty make it a popular destination for those seeking a break from urban life. The area is also suitable for outdoor activities such as walking, picnicking, and nature photography, allowing visitors to enjoy both recreation and the scenic environment.

Environmental conservation around the reservoir is equally important, as the surrounding forests serve as a rainwater catchment area and help maintain ecological balance. Maintaining the cleanliness of the reservoir and its surroundings helps preserve its beauty for future visitors. Local residents actively participate in caring for the reservoir, fostering a sense of connection and awareness of the value of water resources and nature.

For nature enthusiasts, Huai Bong Reservoir is a must-visit destination. Traveling here offers not only peaceful scenery and mountain views but also insight into the local culture and community lifestyle. This combination of conservation value and natural beauty makes Huai Bong Reservoir an ideal spot for relaxation, education, and learning about ecosystems and water management.

Huai Bong Reservoir is therefore both an essential water source for domestic use and a serene natural tourist attraction. It is perfect for leisure, outdoor activities, and environmental education. The ongoing preservation of the area ensures that the reservoir remains beautiful and continues to attract visitors, making it one of the most significant destinations in Pran Kratai District for both the local community and tourists alike.
