Thap Tae Pond in Uthai Thani Province is located at the end of Huai Khawi, which stretches approximately 8 kilometers. The pond itself is about 300 meters wide, serving as a rich habitat for various aquatic species, especially fish that thrive along its edges. Local residents rely on the pond for both daily life and livelihood, using its water for different purposes and fishing for food. Beyond its ecological importance, Thap Tae Pond is a natural attraction, particularly in the winter months when migratory ducks visit, making it a prime spot for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.

Near the pond, in the Tha Thong village area, significant prehistoric human artifacts have been discovered, including iron tools, pottery, beads, and glass bracelets. These findings indicate a highly developed community capable of using metals as ornaments. Additionally, Western-style liquor bottles from the Ayutthaya period have been found, highlighting cultural exchanges between local inhabitants and foreigners. Such discoveries add historical and cultural value to the site, attracting both historians and tourists interested in exploring the region's past.

Traveling to Thap Tae Pond from Uthai Thani town is possible via Highway 3265 for about 12 kilometers, then turning onto a dirt road near Khlong Yang Bridge and continuing for another 4 kilometers. Alternatively, visitors can rent a boat from the mouth of Khlong Yang, traveling approximately 5–6 kilometers directly to the pond. A boat journey allows visitors to experience the natural beauty of the pond up close, from its calm waters and surrounding forests to the diverse wildlife inhabiting the area, offering a relaxing and immersive nature experience.

Thap Tae Pond combines ecological richness with historical significance. It serves as both a natural haven and a learning site where visitors can observe wildlife, enjoy serene landscapes, and study artifacts reflecting the development of past communities. Its accessibility by land and water makes it an ideal destination for a wide range of tourists, whether they are history enthusiasts, nature explorers, or those seeking a tranquil getaway.

Visiting Thap Tae Pond offers a meaningful experience in education, relaxation, and cultural immersion. The pond’s abundant aquatic life and role as a winter stopover for migratory birds enhance its value as an ecotourism destination, making it a must-visit spot for those wishing to appreciate both nature and history in Uthai Thani Province.
