Ao Yang Beach, located in Chanthaburi Province, is a small and peaceful beach perfect for those seeking a quiet retreat surrounded by nature. Similar in character to the nearby Ao Krathing Beach, Ao Yang is situated about 2 kilometers before reaching Khao Laem Sing Forest Park. The beach is lined with large trees that provide plenty of shade, creating a cool and relaxing atmosphere. It’s an ideal spot to sit back, unwind, and enjoy the sea breeze. Along the beach, there are local seafood restaurants serving fresh, delicious dishes, as well as privately run accommodations where visitors can stay overnight and fully experience the tranquil seaside setting.

For travelers heading to Khao Laem Sing Forest Park, there are two main routes. The first involves taking a ferry from Laem Sing District to Ao Krathing Beach, with a fare of just 10 THB per person. After crossing, you’ll need to walk approximately 400 meters to reach the park headquarters. This route offers a chance to witness the local fishing community and adds a touch of adventure to the journey. The second route is more convenient, starting from Tha Mai District and passing through Bang Kachai, covering a distance of about 25 kilometers. This road takes you past Wat Khao Laem Sing and winds up the hillside directly to the park headquarters.

Ao Yang Beach remains relatively untouched compared to Chanthaburi’s more popular beaches, making it a hidden gem for those who value peace and privacy. With fewer crowds, visitors can fully immerse themselves in the soothing sound of waves and the natural beauty of the sea. It’s an excellent destination for families, couples, or groups of friends looking to recharge and reconnect with nature.

The surrounding area also offers plenty to explore. You can visit Wat Khao Laem Sing, a scenic viewpoint where you can admire breathtaking views of the coastline and the river mouth. From there, you might continue your journey to other well-known beaches like Kung Wiman Beach and Chao Lao Beach, each offering its own unique charm.

With its serene natural setting, convenient amenities, and close proximity to other cultural and natural attractions, Ao Yang Beach is an ideal getaway for travelers seeking a quieter, more authentic experience of Chanthaburi’s coastal beauty.
