Prasae River is one of the major rivers in Rayong Province. It originates from several creeks, with the main one being Khlong Phai, which begins in the Chamao Mountain Range. The river flows through Klaeng District for about 26 kilometers before emptying into the Gulf of Thailand at the coastal area of Pak Nam Prasae.

On the western side of the river mouth lies Ban Laem Son, a peaceful fishing village where locals still live a simple and traditional lifestyle. The coastline is lined with tall pine trees providing a relaxing shade and a tranquil atmosphere. Within the village stands Wat Laem Son, a temple highly respected by local fishermen. The temple houses an ancient pagoda that serves as a spiritual landmark for the community.

Across the river is Ban Talad Prasae, a larger community with many houses and shops. It serves as the economic and social center of the area. Visitors can stroll through the local market, shop for handmade goods, or enjoy fresh seafood dishes caught by local fishermen along the coast.

Another highlight of the area is Laem Son Beach, a sandy stretch that extends into the sea like a small cape. The beach is shaded by a dense pine forest, creating a calm and private setting. It is a suitable spot for swimming, especially during low tide when the shoreline widens and the sand appears smooth and clean.

Getting There From Rayong city, take Sukhumvit Road (Highway No. 3) toward Klaeng District, then continue to Laem Mae Phim. From there, follow the coastal road for about 15 kilometers to reach Pak Nam Prasae. For public transportation, take a bus from Rayong–Ban Phe–Laem Mae Phim route, then hire a local taxi or songthaew from Laem Mae Phim to Ban Laem Son, which is approximately 15 kilometers away.
