Ao Phrao Beach lies on the west coast of Koh Samet, Rayong Province. This 200-meter-long curved bay features soft white sand, clear blue water, and gentle slopes, making it perfect for swimming or relaxing by the shore. The calm atmosphere sets it apart from other beaches since only three boutique resorts line the bay, offering privacy, comfort, and attentive service.

Evenings are the highlight at Ao Phrao. As the sun sets over the western horizon, the sky turns shades of orange and pink reflecting on the sea. Many visitors settle along the shore or paddle out by kayak to watch the sun dip below the horizon. The bay also offers gentle water activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding. For those who prefer quiet moments, simply lounging on a beach chair or enjoying a seaside drink is equally rewarding.

Getting There From Ban Phe Pier (Mueang Rayong District), take a public ferry or speedboat to Koh Samet, which takes about 15–20 minutes. From the island pier, ride a shared songthaew or motorcycle taxi to Ao Phrao. Roads on the island are well maintained with clear signs. If driving from Bangkok, the trip takes around 2.5 to 3 hours to Ban Phe Pier.
