Legend Siam, located in Chonburi Province, is Thailand’s first fully integrated cultural theme park, showcasing legendary stories and the proud civilization of Siam throughout different eras. Under the concept of “The City of Siamese Legends,” it spans over 164 rai, or about 100,000 square meters, situated along Sukhumvit Road at kilometer 162, near Nong Nooch Tropical Garden in Pattaya. The park is divided into three main zones that reflect the way of life of the Thai people from past to present. Each zone is designed with intricate details to immerse visitors in the beauty of art, culture, and entertainment, seamlessly blended together.
The first zone, Siam Vilize, presents the glory and sophistication of early Rattanakosin Bangkok. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by massive city walls and gates inspired by the fortifications of the early Rattanakosin period. The gate’s spire resembles the roof design of the Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall. The most striking feature here is the pair of colossal guardian statues, Tosakanth and Sahatsadecha, the tallest in Thailand, standing guard at the entrance. Moving further inside, you’ll find Pranakorn Square, the heart of this zone, inspired by Thai architecture from the reigns of King Rama IV and King Rama V, combining traditional Thai and Western designs. The buildings surrounding the square house a variety of shops, savory and sweet food vendors, and souvenir stores. For those seeking adventure, Black Magic offers a mysterious experience with a mirror maze infused with Thai mystical spells and legendary enchantments. Before leaving this zone, don’t miss paying respects to the majestic Lord Indra on Erawan, a stunning plaster sculpture standing over 11 meters tall, serving as a sacred landmark where visitors can pray for blessings and good fortune.
The second zone, Thai Araya, highlights the beauty of Thailand’s folk culture and local ways of life. A key attraction here is the Grand Vihara and Stupa, a recreation of Wat Phra Si Sanphet in Ayutthaya, symbolizing the golden era of Thai art and architecture. You’ll also find Nawarat Bridge, modeled after the famous bridge in Chiang Mai. Another highlight is the Himmapan Forest Fair, which recreates the festive atmosphere of traditional Thai temple fairs with a fantastical twist. Visitors can enjoy rides inspired by mythical Himmapan creatures, such as the Garuda Ferris Wheel, the Himmapan Carousel, and the Naga Viking Ship for thrilling fun. This zone also features the Floating Pavilion, a group of traditional Thai houses built over water, reflecting the Thai people’s deep connection with rivers and waterways. The area is home to restaurants serving delicious local dishes. Nearby, Legend Siam Market showcases Thai houses from all four regions—North, Northeast, Central, and South—offering regional specialties, products, and souvenirs from all 77 provinces. The market also hosts rotating cultural performances such as street theater, folk plays, and traditional dances, while skilled artisans demonstrate various Thai handicrafts for visitors to observe and learn.
One of the most thrilling attractions in this zone is Baan Mae Nak, a haunted house inspired by the legendary ghost story of Mae Nak Phra Khanong. The chilling atmosphere and storytelling techniques provide a spine-tingling experience perfect for those who love a good scare. Before leaving Thai Araya, visitors can stop to pay respects at Lord Brahma on a Swan, a rare depiction of Brahma seated on a swan, crafted with exquisite artistry. This sacred statue is revered for granting wishes and bringing good fortune.
The final zone, Bhumi Pan Din, chronicles the heroic legends and sacred tales that embody Thai pride. A major highlight is Bang Rachan (coming soon), which depicts the legendary bravery of Bang Rachan villagers through a live-action show with realistic battle scenes. Another upcoming attraction is Siam Elephant Camp, showcasing the intelligence and skills of Thai elephants, a revered symbol of the nation. Visitors can also pay homage to Queen Naginisri Pathumma Visutthewi, the consort of the great Naga King Sri Sutho, a deity deeply respected in Thai folklore. It is believed that sincere prayers made here, without harming others, will be fulfilled—whether in wealth, career, or love. This zone also features Demonstration Rice Fields and Baan Plai Na, which illustrate King Rama IX’s philosophy of a self-sufficient economy through sustainable farming practices, highlighting the wisdom of living self-reliantly and harmoniously with nature.
In addition to exploring the themed zones, Legend Siam offers river cruises to admire traditional Thai houses along the waterway. Visitors can also rent traditional Thai costumes for photo opportunities, adding an authentic touch to their experience. For convenience, a tram and tuk-tuks are available for those who prefer not to walk long distances. At 6:00 PM each day, live performances take place at Pranakorn Square, offering a spectacular evening show. For fans of Thai performing arts, Legend Siam will soon debut a special production of “The Legend of Matchanu”, a unique play featuring the traditional Thai Lakhon Pong Pak style, a dramatic form developed during King Rama VI’s reign. This live performance blends modern Western theatrical techniques with multimedia effects, creating a rare and mesmerizing show. Performances will be held twice daily on weekdays and three times daily on weekends and public holidays. Tickets can be purchased at the venue.
Legend Siam is open daily, Monday to Friday from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and Saturday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
