His preceptor was Luang Por Yai of Wat Bang Chang Tai, with Phra Ajarn Jerm Visutthiyano, the abbot of Wat Yai Som at that time, serving as the chanting master, and Phra Ajarn Pleung Yatimanee of Wat Jindaram as the witness monk. He received the monastic name “Thitawanno.” After ordination, he resided at Wat Preedaram, studied Buddhist scriptures until achieving the highest level of Dhamma studies, and continued practicing Vipassana meditation as well as advanced sacred knowledge that later became widely respected among his followers.
