Huai Nam Khun Royal Project Development Center in Chiang Rai is a highland agricultural initiative developed to replace opium cultivation and improve the livelihoods of hill tribe communities. It has evolved into a cultural and eco-tourism destination where visitors can explore sustainable agriculture and ethnic traditions.

The center was established in 1983 and is located in Mae Suai District at an elevation of 1,015 meters above sea level. The terrain consists of mountainous landscapes ideal for cultivating tea, coffee, and temperate fruits.

Visitors can explore tea plantations, Arabica coffee farms, and strawberry fields while experiencing Akha and Chinese Haw cultures. Local cuisine such as Yunnan-style pork leg and steamed buns is a highlight.

Getting There Travel via Highway 118 from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, turn at kilometer 110, and continue for about 25 km.
