Koh Sak (Koh Krok)

Koh Sak, also known as Koh Krok, is a small island located to the north of Koh Larn, Chonburi, just about 600 meters away. The island is shaped like an upside-down horseshoe, surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere very different from the bustling vibe of Pattaya and Koh Larn. This makes it an ideal destination for those seeking a natural seaside escape.

 

The island has two white sandy beaches one on the north side and one on the south side which are easily connected by a walkway. Visitors can relax on the beach, swim in the clear waters, or go snorkeling to explore the healthy coral reefs around the island. For those who wish to stay overnight, there are small accommodations available, allowing guests to experience serene sunrise and sunset views right on the island.

 

Transportation and Costs There are several ways to get to Koh Sak. The most convenient option is to hire a speedboat directly from Pattaya Beach, which takes about 20 minutes and costs around 3,000 THB. For a more budget-friendly choice, you can charter a boat from Koh Larn at around 800–1,000 THB round trip. Alternatively, from South Pattaya, the cost ranges between 2,000–2,500 THB round trip.

 

There are also group tour packages available at lower prices. For example, a one-day snorkeling trip covering both Koh Larn and Koh Sak starts at just 500 THB per person. If you’d like to stay longer, 2-day 1-night packages including accommodation and snorkeling activities are available for around 1,650–1,850 THB per person. Rooms on the island or nearby resorts start from approximately 1,290 THB for two people.
