Bueng Sam Phan Sunflower Fields in Phetchabun Province are one of Thailand’s most well-known agricultural tourism destinations. The sunflower plantations are spread across Ban Khao Phluang and Ban Pa Yang in Sa Kaeo Subdistrict, Bueng Sam Phan District. Located on the mountainous terrain of Phu Luang within the Phetchabun mountain range, the fields cover more than 10,000 rai. During the blooming season toward the end of the year, the entire mountain transforms into a vast golden landscape filled with bright yellow sunflowers, creating a striking view that attracts a large number of visitors every year.

The festival features various activities such as the largest sunflower contest, the Miss Sunflower pageant, cultural performances, and the sale of processed sunflower products, along with local agricultural goods. These activities help promote the local economy and add vibrancy to tourism in the area.

 

The landscape of the sunflower fields is particularly unique because they are planted on hillside terrain. This allows visitors to enjoy panoramic views of both mountains and flower fields stretching across the horizon, unlike typical sunflower fields found in flat areas. Getting There from Phetchabun city, take Highway 21 passing through Nong Phai District until reaching Rahun Intersection. Then turn left onto Highway 225 toward Chaiyaphum Province for about 18 kilometers. At Sap Bon Intersection, turn left again and continue for another 14 kilometers to reach Ban Pa Yang, where the expansive sunflower fields can be clearly seen.
