Wat Na Phra That (Wat Luang Pho To) Ancient Temple in Phichai District Come to evidence that it was built since 1470 BC. There is a Buddha image of Luang Pho To as the ancient Buddha image of the temple. And there are two Buddha images for us to worship each other as well.
As for Luang Pho To, it is a large stucco Buddha image in the attitude of subduing Mara. At present, the Buddha image is enshrined in the newly built Wihan Prasat Chaturamuk, 5 peaks, 43 meters high. It has an area of 99 square wa. The castle of Chaturamuk 5 peaks represents Phra Nawamaratchabophit Castle. The picture below is a castle with 5 chedi, designed by Ajarn Chit Buabut, former headmaster of Poh Chang College.
The building is 9 meters wide, 26 meters long, intersecting in a red cross shape, 46 meters high, consisting of balconies and terraces around. Undertaking administrative work from 1972 to 1982, therefore, demolished the old viharn of Luang Por To and rooted in Tekan, starting construction in the name of the Council of Patriarchs of Uttaradit Province.
In the Patronage of the Patriarch until 1988, received a royal grace from His Majesty the King. graciously bestowed the name "Phra Nawama Rajabophit Castle" with the auspicious emblem of His Majesty the King's 5th cycle birthday.
