Wat Arun Dararam
Opening days: Daily
Opening hours: 08.00 - 17.00
Wat Arun Dararam (Wat Chai Talay) has changed the name of Wat Chai Talay. It was Wat Arun Dararam on February 28, B.E. 1989 (by His Excellency General Mana Rattanakoses, Minister of Education) located at Ban Sua Mueang Bon, or what the people call the Suea Mueang district sign because it is between the district of Singhanakhon.
With Sathing Phra District, Village No. 9, Muang Ngam Sub-district, Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province, belonging to Maha Nikaya, the current temple land is 36 rai, 2 ngan, 70 square wa, the territory lies on the east by the Gulf of Thailand, on the south by the road, on the west by the road. North is adjacent to the boundary road between Sathing Phra District and Singhanakhon District. The measurement area is a flat area.
The history of Wat Arun Dararam or the seaside temple, according to the elders told me that in those days, the transportation route was mainly used by boats, both monks or laymen used the boat route.
And that is to set up a temple because the preceptor Eid, the abbot of Wat Sua Mueang, came to use the maritime route, so he presumed to build a temple in this area, so he asked for land in that area. The place that made the garden to be built as a temple is called Wat Chay Talay because it was built next to the Gulf of Thailand.
