Rajathanee University It was approved to be established by the Ministry of Universities. On behalf of Ratchathani College of Technology on April 29, 1993 at No. 487 Chayangkun Road, Kham Yai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province 34000 Telephone Number 0-45-312-176-7 and has been accredited by the Ministry of Universities since May 1, 1993. Has been approved to change the type of institutional council from "Rajathani College of Technology" to "Rajathani University" from the Ministry of Education on September 25, 2003.

In the first academic year of teaching Ratchathani University has been approved to open 2 faculties, namely the Faculty of Engineering. 4-year Bachelor of Engineering program in Electrical Engineering Bachelor of Industry Program for 2 consecutive years in Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Business Administration Bachelor of Accounting Program 4 years.

In the academic year 2005, Rajathanee University was approved to start teaching at the graduate level in 5 additional disciplines, namely the Master of Education Program. Ratchathani University has been approved to merge the affairs of Rajathani College of Technology Udon Thani. which is a college in the network of the university which was established on September 3, 1998 at No. 293 bypass road, Nong Bua Subdistrict, Mueang District, Udon Thani Province with Ratchathani University by using the name "Rajathani University Udon Thani Campus"

Since January 16, 2006, Rajathanee University Udon Thani Campus operates 3 faculties and 4 programs, namely the Faculty of Business Administration.
