Wat Sri Sawai Located 350 meters south of Wat Mahathat, an important historical site located in the Kaew Wall. It consists of 3 prangs in Lopburi art style. The appearance of the prang is quite slender. Standing on a low base, some stucco patterns are similar to those on Chinese wares. Yuan Dynasty Found a lintel carved into the image of Narai Banthomsin. piece of idol and a Shiva lingam showing that it used to be a place of worship in Hinduism before. then converted to a Buddhist place by adding a viharn at the front and later become a Buddhist temple.

Sri Sawai Temple was originally a temple in Brahmin or Hindu religion. It looks like a pagoda, Sam Yot, Khmer style. There is a moat surrounding three pagodas. This ancient site originated from the Khmer castle style. but has been modified differently from the prototype For example, the decorative part of the Khmer castle called Banthaeng became the shape of jackfruit petals. and stucco decorated with jackfruit petals in the form of Garuda, Naga and angels. The prang of Wat Si Sawai is therefore different from the Prang of the Ayutthaya period, which has a prototype from Prang in Khmer art and is more like a Khmer style than a prang in the style of Sukhothai craftsmen.

When King Rama VII visit Sukhothai He found an image of Lord Shiva and stone antiques carved into a lintel of Vishnu Bantamasin, a figure of Vishnu four arms. and the parts of the idol and the lingam were made of bronze. He therefore assumed that Wat Si Sawai is probably the place where Brahmins used to perform swinging ceremonies (Triyampawai), but later, when Thai people came to occupy Sukhothai. Therefore, this temple was converted to a Buddhist temple.
