Pak Thong Chai Tradition Period of the 15th day of the 12th month.
 
The significance of Pak Thong Chai Tradition is a tradition where the people of Nakorn Thai unite to bring 3 white cloth flags to be planted on the top of Khao Chan Ple on Mount Han Hai. or Khao Yan Chai and Khao Chang Luang that brings prosperity to the practitioner showing the power of faith that Nakorn Thai people have "Phor Khun Bang Klang Hao".
 
Ancient rituals consisted of the following rituals:
1. When it is near the Pak Thong Chai Festival At night, a male villager who beats a gong leads the monks to receive alms. Then the elderly women in villages near Wat Nuea, Wat Klang and Wat Hua Rong. will persuade villagers to help dry cotton, cradle cotton, pick cotton, and push cotton (spun cotton). After getting the white yarn, they help each other weave 3 white flags from 3 villages.
 
2. On the day of the flag ceremony Nakhon Thai people will bring sweet and savory food. and invited the monks up to the Elephant Mountain Range Offering food to the monks, the village leader will say the white flag to the monks in Pali language. Monks chanting auspicious spells Villagers will bring a white cloth flag to tie it to a bamboo handle. They were embroidered on natural rock grooves at the top of Khao Chan Ple, Mount Yan Hai and Mount Chang Luang respectively. After finishing the flag ceremony Villagers play folk music and dance merrily down from the hilltop.
 
Currently, the ceremonies are as follows:
1. When it is near the Pak Thong Chai Festival Nakhon Thai people in villages near Wat Nuea, Wat Klang and Wat Hua Rong. They will help to buy cotton and help to weave white fabric flags measuring 90 centimeters wide and about 4 meters long, 3 pieces from 3 villages and beautifully woven into a pattern around the pennant.
 
2. In the morning of the 14th waxing moon of the 12th lunar month, flags will be brought to the worship ceremony at Pho Khun Bang Klang Hao Monument. In the afternoon, there is a contest of parades from every village night.
 
3. The morning of the 15th day of the waxing moon of the 12th lunar month, set up a car parade Move along the road and walk through the khanna to perform the ceremony of raising the flag like in ancient times. At night, Loi Krathong is held and various games are held.
 
The Pak Thong Chai tradition is a valuable local culture. make people feel connected to their homeland which produces love unity and help each other And believe that if any year does not practice this tradition Nakorn Thai people will encounter disasters from disease, natural disasters or house fires.
