Wat Rong Chang

Wat Rong Chang Location: Rong Chang sub-district in the south of the city Adjacent to Phichit Road, Sam Ngam - Wang Chik (Use Highway No. 115 and Highway No. 1068) about the 5th kilometer mark. This temple is an old temple in the Ayutthaya period when Phraya Kotbong reigned.
This place is called the Elephant Division because it is the residence of the Elephant Division. Later, it was distorted to be Khlong Chang until the government opened a local school at this temple. Therefore, the name was changed to Wat Rong Chang. There are 3 large Buddha images in the area of Wat Rong Chang which are Buddha images in the subduing Mara posture, in the posture of Ban Yat and the reclining posture.
Interesting thing is the large chedi of the temple It was built in 1974. Around the chedi there are 108 Tipitaka cabinets for the general public to make merit in the cabinet for good fortune. And inside the chedi was built a secret underground room to store bricks inscribed with 84,000 Buddhist scriptures. In the future, there may be unexpected events such as A nuclear war that could cause the Tripitaka to disappear from the world.
