Bueng Boraphet It is the largest freshwater swamp in Thailand. It covers an area of ​​approximately 132,737 rai, covering 3 districts, namely Mueang Nakhon Sawan District, Tha Tako District, and Chum Saeng District. In the past, Bueng Boraphet was known as the "North Sea" or "Chom Bueng" because there are many aquatic animals and plants.
 
According to surveys, there are about 148 species of animals, 44 species of plants. Rare animals have been found here, namely the Queen Sirindhorn Bird, Tiger Tut. In November-March, many teals migrate to this marsh.
 
There are many species of endemic birds such as teal, echidna, egret, staghorn bird which lay their eggs in July-March. Some areas have been declared non-hunting areas. Bueng Boraphet is under the supervision of the Wildlife Conservation Division. and is also a breeding ground for fish The Department of Fisheries has also set up the Bueng Boraphet Fisheries Development Station.
 
Point of interest Is the Bueng Boraphet Aquarium in honor of his 80th birthday. It is the only canoe-shaped building in Thailand, 37 meters wide, 49 meters long, with a 24 meter long fish tunnel showing more than 100 species of freshwater fish, along with many saltwater fish species.

Getting from Nakhon Sawan town to Bueng Boraphet can go many routes.
 
By boat, from Nakhon Sawan Municipality Pier Market, go along the Nan River and go north for about 6 kilometers to the mouth of Khlong Nong Duk. When you go under the railway bridge, you will reach the swamp area.
 
By car, you can access Bueng Boraphet on 2 sides:
 
1) North side, along the route Nakhon Sawan - Chum Saeng Highway 225 for about 9 kilometers, there will be a junction on the right for another 2 kilometers into the Bung Boraphet Inland Fisheries Development Station.
