Wat Mae Nang Pluem located on the edge of the city canal Opposite Hua Ro Market It is a temple built before the Ayutthaya period. It used to be the location of the Burmese camp in the olden days of Ayutthaya In 1767, the villagers called it "Kok Burma". At present, no traces of the hill camp are seen.

This temple is one that has not been destroyed like other temples in Ayutthaya. Therefore, there are also important historical sites to see, such as a bell-shaped chedi surrounded by lions, which is built as the president of the temple on a high base. The lower base is surrounded by stucco lions. Above is a lotus base decorated with lotus flowers.

This lotus pattern is inherited from Khmer-Lopburi art. Popular in the art of the early Ayutthaya period. It is possible that the role model came from the Khmer. Assumptions from the evidence in the chronicles said that during the reign of Somdej Chao Sam Phraya, around the end of the 20th Buddhist century, he led an army to subdue Cambodia.

The special features of this chedi are found in only 2 pagodas in Ayutthaya. The viharn was restored in the early Rattanakosin period. By looking at the stucco pattern on the front gable that is influenced by Chinese patterns. Inside the viharn enshrines Luang Pho Khao (Phra Phuttanimit Mongkhon Si Rattanatri), a sacred Buddha image in the Ayutthaya period.
